Tim McPherson and Jon Dean are partners in TIMNJON productions, where they design and create ceramic art. They also design teaching experiences that allows them to share this passion with you. They teach in the greater Chicagoland area as well as across the United States and internationally.
TIMNJON bring a great deal of fun to the learning process. They have an acute sense of current trends, technique, and color use. They specialize in creating events to fit all the needs of the Contemporary and Traditional markets including offering start up consulting and employee training. Among their innovative techniques they also offer workshops on Raku Firing, Stoneware, Airbrushing, Porcelain, Decorative Brush Stroke Design and Clay Work. All designed with today’s lifestyle and decorating trends in mind.
Together they are specialists in functional art as well as adding that special architectural detail to your home or garden space. You may also make a trip to the Chicago area for their PAINT ESCAPE. People from coast to coast as well as overseas have attended. A true combination of state of the art learning and fun, fun, fun! This has proved to be truly a one of a kind event.

Both Tim and Jon have many years experience in teaching all phases of fired and non fired ceramic art. Both Tim and Jon are Seeley Stoneware Educators, offering a complete series of workshops creating stylish functional art. They are now part of the teaching team at Mayco Colors. Mayco presents one of the industry’s largest assortments of colorful products including some of the most sought after décor friendly molds and Bisque shapes .

Please join us as we celebrate our 9th anniversary for the Fall Paint Escape. Spotlighting FANTASTIC NEW TECHNIQUES, SHAPES & PRODUCTS. In the TIMNJON style you have come to expect. Participants from the
2009 event are already pre-registering; this event will surely fill fast. So, don’t delay to avoid disappointment.
This event “Create by the Lake” will be held at the Waterbird Lakeside Inn overlooking the wildlife & waterfowl of private Lake Chubb in Chesterton Indiana. The resort is conveniently located just minutes away from Chicago, IL just off of I94. For our out of town guests, it’s easily accessible from both Chicago airports. This creative setting will afford a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere in which to work on wonderful pieces that will be unique to this painting experience, the latest product release & innovative technique applications will be presented. This will be a chance to gather and network with other studios/teachers/artists. What a rare opportunity to meet painters from so many different regions. PLUS a chance to get to meet and mingle with some of the industry’s favorite suppliers! Bring back a fresh new assortment of projects just perfect for the winter holiday season back to YOUR studio or classroom!

Class registration will be taken on a first come first served basis. Final payment in full must be received by
September 17, 2010. Participants canceling after October 1, 2010 moneys will be transferred to the following
paint escape event. Also, a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted.
